First of all, it was the soccer and lawn tennis craze of female tennis players becoming magazine cover models, trade card images and high-traffic-drawing photos posted on hundreds of websites and yes, they did raise the fanbase of the sport of tennis. Considering online photos of Mia Hamm, Serena Williams and Anna Kournikova among others floating around on the internet, these have brought much more interest and passion to the game itself.

LPGA has followed this route and according to Sports Illustrated, a new york modelling agency took the initiative of having 7 LPGA athletes and showing off their other “beautiful sides” besides swinging the iron on the green.
